Trump Takes the White House Back!

Donald J. Trump has been elected as the 47th President of the United States of America. Through his victory, President Trump secured the victory over Vice President Kamala Harris and multiple other independent candidates.

Not only did President Trump win the electoral college, he won all seven swing states that consist of Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. A victory in these states helped put him over the required 270 electoral votes; Wisconsin’s win putting him over the top.

According to Gallup News, over 50% of voters agree that their past four years have “not been better off.” Many BBC Trump voters are pleased with the election results, one woman stating that “The former president runs this country like a business and the more he talks the more I am impressed.” Other voters express the same views as well, highlighting his determination to better the economy.

With the most recent tally of electoral votes, Harris ends at 224 and Trump at 292, with four undecided states still in question. Reports from CNN during the election state, “The blue wall is showing deep red right now.” Comparing this report to the 2020 presidential election, these results show great triumph for the Republican Party. In 2020, Trump lost 6 out of the 7 swing states–only winning North Carolina.

As the results flooded in, Vice President Kamala D. Harris underachieved the once blue states from the last presidential election. Compared to the 2020 election, Harris failed to outperform current President Joe Biden in any county throughout the nation by more than 3% or greater, which offered a surprising turn of events for anxious spectators.

Vice President Kamala Harris’ co-chair, Cedric Richmond spoke to their watch party following the defeat, stating that Harris will be addressing the nation later Wednesday. Sources within the Harris campaign have said that she will address the nation 4 p.m. ET.

With promises of new policy and “Making America Great Again,” Donald J. Trump has the next four years to fulfill the wishes of his loyal voters who helped him secure the Republican victory. Updates on the final electoral vote count will be released in the next couple of days.
