“Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.”

Ephesians 4:2 (NIV)

Life often brings moments when our patience is tested, whether it’s dealing with a difficult coworker, a family disagreement, or simply waiting in a long line. In these moments, God calls us to respond with humility, gentleness, and love. Humility reminds us that we are not above others; we all fall short and need grace. Gentleness keeps us from reacting harshly, choosing kindness instead. Patience gives us the strength to endure frustrations without losing our peace. Love binds all these qualities together, helping us see people through God’s eyes rather than our frustrations.

Jesus embodied these traits perfectly. He was humble, gentle, and patient, even with those who misunderstood or opposed Him. This week reflect on areas of your life that you struggle with, is it patience and humility? As followers of Christ we are called to reflect His character in our daily interactions. How can you show gentleness to someone who frustrates you? What are some practical steps you can take to “bear with one another in love”?
