Heritage Christian School is proud to present an Old Hollywood, Yacht Prom 2023.

All students will meet at Heritage Christian School’s South Campus at 4:30 pm and will be taken by bus to Marina Del Rey, where their yacht awaits for their voyage.

Ticket Sales begin April 11 and the price goes up every week, so be sure to purchase your tickets as soon as possible. The last day to purchase a prom ticket will be on Friday, April 28. For the whole month of April, the outside guest price is $250. All outside guests must be 11th or 12th graders in high school and under 19 years of age.

Heritage students are allowed one outside guest each and they must fill out a separate waiver and meet with Heritage’s Dean, Ms. Orellana, before they are allowed to purchase a ticket. Both Heritage students and outside guests are required to follow the following dress code:

Ladies

• HCS’s guiding principles for dress apply to Prom. They are modesty, appropriateness, and presenting a positive Christian witness.
• No more than 3 earrings per ear, and no other visible piercing of any kind.
• Bodices must be cut high enough to be modest; no plunging necklines, no showing of the cleavage or bodices with a deep “V”.
• There must be one or more strap. Spaghetti straps are allowed. Strapless dresses and off-the-shoulder are not allowed.
• No skin-colored fabric that gives the appearance of immodesty and inappropriateness or violates the general dress guidelines. Midriff must be covered by opaque fabric.
• No backless dresses. Must be higher than the hip-line.
• A dress, skirt or gown slit must be longer than mid-thigh on the young lady wearing the dress or skirt.
• Material that is sheer is not appropriate.
• Clothing may not have cutouts that reveal any area required to be covered.
• Dresses must be acceptable without any accompanying cover-up.
• Dress shoes are required at all times. Clean sneakers are acceptable, but not preferred. Doc Martins are not allowed.

Gentlemen

• HCS’s guiding principles for dress apply to Homecoming. They are modesty, appropriateness, and presenting a positive Christian witness.
• Semi-Formal attire (suits, shirts with ties and slacks). Ties are optional. Jacket optional. No jeans.
• Dress shoes are required at all times. Clean converse and vans are acceptable, but not preferred.
• No pocket chains or canes.
• Neat and dressy in appearance.
• No earrings or visible piercing of any kind.

What NOT to Bring

• Illegal substances…tobacco, drugs, alcohol, vaping items etc
• Food or drink of any kind, beverage containers/bottles
• Sharp or pointed objects
• Weapons of any kind
• Backpacks or satchels
• Outside food or drinks
• Water bottles of any kind
