Students follow an A/B block schedule with a separation of middle and high school for nutrition and lunch.

HCS has more than 700 students enrolled in  6-12th grade.

The school year consists of two semesters of approximately eighteen weeks each. Students in middle and high school receive two interim grade progress reports and a final grade each semester. Students are expected to carry no fewer than seven subjects each semester; senior students may carry no fewer than five subjects each semester.

90% of our faculty hold a teaching certificate from ASCI (Association of Christian Schools International). In addition, many of the faculty have a state teaching credential.

Heritage Christian offers a variety of electives, including Wood Design and Advanced Woodworking.

Our College Counselors meet with students 6-12 to create an academic schedule to meet each student’s needs. Each student will have the same College Counselor for grades 9-12 to help guide them in making the best decision for their college future.

The Commons is open before school, during lunch, and after school. Students have access to books, computers, and printing.

The Academic Support Center/Discovery Program provides academic support and Educational Therapy in a one-on-one setting for students who meet school enrollment criteria and have been formally diagnosed with learning disorders such as ADHD (ADD), Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia, and other auditory and/or visual processing deficits.

At the very heart of our choir is worship. Jesus Christ is at the center of our very purpose. It is our desire to be atmosphere changers everywhere we sing. If the music has not “moved” us, it will not move the audience.

Weekly chapel assemblies are conducted, often with student participation. Students attend Bible class daily and may also attend prayer breakfasts and “Praise and Worship” nights. Additionally, students are given the opportunity to participate in community service projects.
