Heritage Christian School’s mission is to glorify God by providing a rigorous academic program from a Biblical perspective, and by partnering with parents to provide their children with a firm spiritual foundation to impact the world for Christ.
Heritage Christian School is a member and is accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and is also accredited by Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). The Discovery program is recognized by the National Institute of Learning Development (NILD) as a program of excellence.
The school year consists of two semesters of approximately eighteen weeks each. Students in middle and high school receive two interim grade progress reports and a final grade each semester. Students are expected to carry no fewer than seven subjects each semester; senior students may carry no fewer than five subjects each semester.
The Academic Support Center/Discovery Program provides academic support and Educational Therapy in a one-on-one setting for students who meet school enrollment criteria and have been formally diagnosed with learning disorders such as ADHD (ADD), Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia, and other auditory and/or visual processing deficits.
Our Middle School and High School Athletic Department offer a variety of sports and work together to provide quality experiences for our students. We encourage the growth of talent, character, and discipline.
Being committed to your sport, to your coach, to your team, to your school, and most of all, to Christ is a key to spiritual and athletic success. (Pictured: Student Parking Lot and Athletic Field)
Weekly chapel assemblies are conducted, often with student participation. Students attend Bible class daily and may also attend prayer breakfasts and “Praise and Worship” nights. Additionally, students are given the opportunity to participate in community service projects.
