Instrumental Music

It is the mission of the High School Band Program at Heritage Christian School to use the gift of music bestowed upon us from God to develop musicians of character, heart and proficiency in an environment of excellence, balance and integrity. With the solid legacy of this new school, the band program strives to train young musicians not only in the art of music but also the teachings of Jesus Christ and the effect music has on a person’s mind, body and most importantly their soul. Partnered with an incredible academic setting the Band Program strives for the best each student can give as well as being well versed in all musical realms.

In the Band Program, students will be challenged with playing music of varying degrees as well as learn principals of music theory, applicable music history and fundamentals of music composition. The Band Program offers ensembles such as:

• High School Jazz Ensemble
• High School Orchestra
• Middle School Orchestra
• Drum Line

In the Band Program at Heritage Christian School, we put God first in all we do to help train the best musician’s from the inside outwards. The program adheres and enforces the schools fundamental directives in that we strive to understand the love God has for us and our talent of music. We emphasize the importance of partnership building as it directly relates to the industry of music and the mutual respect for fellow musicians. Most importantly, we follow the teachings of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to invest all we can in our music so that each note we play portrays an emotion to all that hear us play.
