Credit Recovery
We are pleased to welcome you to our Credit Recovery Program. The program allows students to strengthen skills and make up credits that were lost during the school year. The HCS credit recovery program is a great place for your student to learn and grow.
The program is entirely online. A teacher monitors student progress, corrects work and contacts parents when needed to facilitate student success. The student works independently on the course until completion.
Each unit begins with a “pretest” if the student scores at least 70% on the pretest they skip that unit and move on to the next pretest. If a student scores below 70% on a pre-test, lessons are assigned to the student based on the questions they missed.
Students are expected to work at least 30 minutes per day on each semester course. They may work anytime because it is web-based.

What is the purpose of Credit Recovery?
To provide students with an opportunity for remediation and credit recovery of a “D” or “F” grade in a semester course. Students who fail a course during the regular school year at HCS are required to make up that course at HCS Credit Recovery or Summer Academic Program.
How much is the Academic Program tuition?
The fee for each semester course is $500.00 and is due upon registration for all Middle School and High School Students. A maximum of two-semester courses may be taken per session.
If taking more than one-semester course, $500.00 is due upon registration and the balance of $500.00 is due by the program start date.
