Safety & Security
“We don’t rise to the level of our expectations, we fall to the level of our training.”
– Greek Poet
Safety is a process, not a project. Heritage Christian School employs a variety of training and systems to ensure the safety and security of our students, faculty, and staff. Several departments form our Safety Committee. It meets regularly to review drills and any accidents/unusual incidents to identify corrective actions needed to ensure the safest possible environment for our staff and students. This committee also discusses and finds solutions for safety concerns. This collaborative process serves as our opportunity for growth and improvement. In addition, HCS hires and trains armed security and seeks additional guards, especially those with advanced first aid techniques.

Drills
At HCS, we perform a variety of drills with and without students. This practice prepares us for situations we hope never come to reality. Training includes computer-based learning, hands-on teaching, an Emergency Procedure Manual, and the aforementioned drills and evaluation. Armed security is featured as much as possible.
