Long Term Substitute English Teacher
This position has the same duties, rights and responsibilities as the classroom teacher. The position requires adherence to the instructions and directives supplied by the classroom teacher to conduct during the regular school day or during the hours substituting. The substitute is also an example of the living Word of God, a godly example in which young people can see the reflections of Jesus Christ in his/her life.

Security Guard
The HCS campus security guard is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for students, visitors, and employees. The guard will patrol the campus buildings and grounds, maintaining a constant presence and upholding the highest standards of professionalism. Candidates for this position must be in agreement with our Statement of Faith.

Position Requires

  • At least two years skilled experience as a security officer
  • Knowledgeable with computers and aptitude to learn new software and systems
  • Experience with security equipment and surveillance systems
  • Certification in first aid, CPR or ability to obtain certification upon hiring
  • All Permits must be current (guard card, firearms, OC, baton)

High School Science Teacher
Position Overview

Heritage Christian seeks a High School Science teacher to add to our insightful and faithful teaching staff. Along with planning and organizing lesson plans, our teachers creatively infuse a biblically based, faith-integrated curriculum that helps guide, mentor, and develop students both spiritually and academically. The ideal candidate should have 1 – 5+ years of classroom teaching experience in the applicable subject. This role could potentially teach AP classes. Prior experience working in a Christian school environment is a plus. As a Teacher at Heritage Christian School, the candidate should be a follower of Jesus Christ, work collaboratively with co-workers, provide excellent customer service, proactively identify and fix problems, and exhibit a servant’s heart.

Preschool Director
Position Overview
Heritage Christian School is a nonprofit, independent private school passionate about providing students and families with a biblically-based education of the highest standard. Heritage seeks a dedicated and experienced Preschool Director to lead our preschool program at our new location opening as soon as possible. The Preschool Director will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the preschool, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children, and managing a team of educators. Candidates must have strong leadership skills, a passion for early childhood education, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills with adults and children.

  • Associate degree with an early childhood certificate from an accredited college or university

Van / School Bus Driver
General Responsibilities

Seeking both Regular and Substitute School Bus Drivers to drive routes, sports and field trips, as assigned.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Safely transport students to/from assigned destinations
  • Arrive at HCS on time as directed by the Transportation Department
  • Complete check out of the school bus assigned for the day
  • Be subject to random alcohol and drug testing
  • Maintain all licensing requirements
  • Keep the inside of the bus clean and orderly
  • Fuel bus when needed

Qualifications

HCS seeks to hire employees with a vibrant Christian faith. Successful candidates will possess experience in:

  • A desire to continue and further their education

Must have in immediate procession:

  • Valid and current Commercial California Drivers License with passenger, air brakes, and school bus endorsements
  • Completed, valid and current DL-51 (medical card)
  • Valid and current California Special Driver Certificate
  • Valid and current American Red Cross First Aid card
  • All required hours of training are complete and up to date
  • At least 25 years or older
  • This is a part-time position with varied hours per week

Megan’s Law Compliance

The volunteer policy for Heritage Christian School requires all volunteers to fill out an information form prior to volunteering. These forms are used to comply with Megan’s Law and volunteers are screened on the Internet through the Office of the Attorney General, State of California Department of Justice.

All volunteers must be screened yearly.
